About Soul Voyager

Hi all. Just to introduce myself, my name is Valerie. Welcome to my blog! It is certainly exciting to be starting a new online diary which I’m intending to use to chronicle my recovery journey from anorexia. I will be writing to hold myself accountable daily for all I’m doing for and to my body because I wanna make sure that I keep it healthy and strong (to the best of my ability). I want to recover in order to be able to do the things I like to do, to serve God in His way and by His strength, to let others know that recovery is possible, and to reclaim my life back from my evil eating disorder, Ed. I also want to use it to remind myself of all the recovery techniques I’m applying so that I can use them to help others in future.

As you read on, you may realize that the focus of my blog will not be fundamentally on food per se. An eating disorder may manifest itself in behavioral symptoms such as self-starvation or over-eating. However, I truly believe that the healing comes from within and extends to every aspect of my life – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Hence, this blog will be largely on my thoughts, feelings, and insights I gain as I walk along this recovery path. To read my story and gain access to good eating disorder recovery resources, visit my Health, Inside Out website which I set up with my counsellor. I count it a great privilege to be able to share my recovery journey with everyone out there. To all my family and friends out there who are looking at this, thank you for the time. It never fails to warm my heart thinking of all the support you have given and are continuing to give. I hope that you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing it! =)
